Of all the fish in the sea,
sharks are the largest, most
ancient and far-ranging.

SHARK...
sleek survivor
Over more than 350 million years, sharks have evolved as excellent and efficient survivors. They swim, sleep, lay eggs and have baby sharks in their ocean home. They travel, protect their home ranges and, of course, they eat. They have a place in the sea as successful and ancient eaters, or predators. (People are not part of a shark's diet but even such expert predators as sharks sometimes make mistakes.) They deserve our respect and protection.  Click here for more about sharks.
